1. Who we are
SuperGood is a website design and hosting service operated by Clarify Design LLC ("SuperGood," "we," "us," or "our"), a Tennessee limited liability company doing business as SuperGood.
Our registered address is 726 Shadycrest Ln, Franklin, TN, 37064. You can reach us at team@supergoodsites.com.
2. What this policy covers
This policy applies to:
- Our website at supergoodwebsites.com, including any forms you submit there.
- Our services, including the information we collect from and about our clients in the course of designing, building, and hosting their websites.
- Client websites we host, but only with respect to our role as a service provider. Section 7 explains this distinction, which matters if you are a visitor to a website we built for someone else.
This policy does not apply to third-party websites we link to, or to how our clients independently use information they collect through their own websites.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit a form on our website, we collect the information you provide. This typically includes your name, phone number, email address, business name, the type of work your business does, whether you currently have a website, and anything else you choose to tell us.
If you become a client, we also collect the information needed to build and operate your website: business details, hours, service areas, photographs, logos, written content, domain registrar access where you choose to share it, and billing information.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website, we automatically collect certain technical information:
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| Device and browser | Browser type and version, operating system, screen size, language |
| Network | IP address, approximate location derived from IP (typically city level) |
| Usage | Pages viewed, time on page, referring website, links clicked |
| Advertising | Whether you arrived from an advertisement, and which one |
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies, including tracking pixels, to operate our website, understand how it is used, and measure the performance of our advertising. Section 5 describes our advertising technology in more detail.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of our website may not function properly if you do.
Billing information
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers. Our payment processor handles that information under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive limited billing details such as the last four digits of your card, the card brand, and your billing contact information.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to inquiries and contact you about our services
- Design, build, host, maintain, and update your website
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Provide customer support and respond to update requests
- Monitor site performance, uptime, and security
- Measure and improve our advertising and marketing
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents
We do not sell your personal information for money. Section 10 explains how certain advertising activity may be treated as "sharing" or "selling" under some state privacy laws, and how to opt out.
5. Advertising and the Meta Pixel
We advertise our services on Facebook and Instagram. To do this, we use the Meta Pixel, a piece of code on our website that reports certain activity back to Meta Platforms, Inc.
The Meta Pixel allows us to:
- Measure how many people who saw one of our advertisements went on to visit our website or submit a form
- Show advertisements to people who have visited our website previously
- Build audiences of people who may be similar to our existing visitors or clients
Information shared with Meta through this process may include your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visited on our site, and whether you completed a form. Meta may combine this with information it already holds about you, including from your Meta account if you have one. Meta's use of that information is governed by Meta's own privacy policy, which we do not control.
Under state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act, the Tennessee Information Protection Act, and similar laws in other states, the advertising activity described in this section is considered "sharing" or "selling" personal information and "targeted advertising," even though no money changes hands. You have the right to opt out. Section 11 explains how.
6. When we share information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
Service providers
We use third-party companies to operate our business. Each receives only the information needed to perform its function, and is contractually required to protect it. These include providers of:
- Website and database hosting
- File and image storage
- Email delivery and transactional messaging
- Payment processing
- Advertising and analytics
- Scheduling and communication tools
Advertising partners
We share website activity data with Meta Platforms, Inc. for advertising measurement and audience building, as described in Section 5.
Legal and safety
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with a law, regulation, subpoena, or court order; to enforce our agreements; to investigate fraud or a security incident; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify affected clients before their information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
7. Data on client websites
This section applies to websites we build and host for our clients.
When someone visits a website we built for a client and submits a contact form, requests a quote, or otherwise provides information, that information belongs to our client, not to us. Our client decides what information to collect, how to use it, and how long to keep it. In the language of privacy law, our client is the controller of that data and we act as a processor or service provider on their behalf.
In that role, we:
- Process that information only to operate and maintain the website, and only as instructed by the client
- Do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for our own marketing
- Do not combine it with information from other clients' websites
- Maintain reasonable security measures to protect it
- Assist the client in responding to privacy requests from their visitors
If you are a visitor to a website we host and want to exercise privacy rights regarding information you submitted there, contact that business directly. They decide how that information is handled. You may also contact us and we will route your request to the relevant client.
Each client website carries its own privacy policy describing that business's own practices.
8. How long we keep information
| Type of information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Inquiry form submissions that do not become clients | 12 months, then deleted |
| Client account and website content | For the duration of the subscription, plus 90 days after cancellation |
| Billing and transaction records | As long as required by tax and accounting law, typically seven years |
| Website analytics and advertising data | As set by the relevant platform, typically no more than 24 months |
| Backups | Deleted information may persist in backups for up to 30 days before being overwritten |
We may retain information longer where necessary to resolve a dispute, enforce an agreement, or comply with a legal obligation.
9. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. These include encryption of data in transit, access controls limiting who on our team can view client information, and regular backups.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you share information with us at your own risk. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding personal information we hold about you:
- Access. Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information, and a copy of it.
- Correction. Request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Deletion. Request that we delete personal information we hold about you.
- Portability. Request a copy in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Opt out. Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, and of targeted advertising. See Section 11.
- Non-discrimination. We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised a privacy right.
To make a request, email team@supergoodsites.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity before acting, which may require you to confirm information you previously gave us. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law, generally 45 days, and will tell you if we need more time.
An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.
If you are located in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also have the right to object to processing, to restrict processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We are based in the United States and any information you provide will be processed there.
11. Opting out of targeted advertising
You can opt out of the advertising activity described in Section 5 in the following ways:
- Change your privacy settings. Select "Privacy Settings" in the footer of any page on our website to open your cookie preferences. Turn off Marketing, or choose "Reject All," and we will stop loading the Meta Pixel in that browser. You can change this choice at any time.
- Email us at team@supergoodsites.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." We will stop sharing your information with advertising partners and ask Meta to delete any data associated with you.
- Use a Global Privacy Control signal. We honor the GPC browser signal where required by law. If your browser or extension sends one, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser, and we disable the Meta Pixel for that visit.
- Block cookies and tracking through your browser settings, or use a content blocker. The Meta Pixel cannot send anything if it does not load.
- Contact us before submitting a form. If you would rather reach us without your contact information being shared for advertising measurement, email or call us directly instead of using the form.
- Adjust your Meta settings through the ad preferences and off-Facebook activity controls in your Facebook or Instagram account.
12. Children
Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links
Our website and the websites we build may link to third-party sites and services we do not control. This policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top. If we make a material change to how we handle personal information, we will provide more prominent notice, which may include emailing clients directly. Your continued use of our website or services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
